Biochemistry and structural biology at ISTA
The Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) is an interdisciplinary institute dedicated to basic research just outside of Vienna.
Life Science research is one of the strongest research areas of our institute. Molecular mechanisms are studied with a range of biochemical approaches, including the investigations of atomic-level structures and molecular dynamics, in vitro reconstitution, simulations all the way to biomolecular design. We have access to top-notch equipment in cryo electron microscopy and tomography, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, optical spectroscopies and many more.
Please find out more about these research groups at ISTA, the available infrastructure, publications as well as seminars and events.
We have a highly attractive programme of PhD students and always excited to working with young scientists and train them in a range of fields. Check our page here.
